Sun/moon’s animation is god tier for a kids show, in my eyes anyway

I watched 3rd, 5th, 6th and 8th gens of the anime, I vaguely remember watching watching some episodes of 4th and 7th (and Idk why but I just don't want to watch 1st and 2nd), and I watched the first 5 episodes of the 9th gen and I forgot to continue. But from what I watched: Best for animations is probably Journeys (gen 8) because it had all the mechanics and so had the animations for megas, Z moves and Dynamax but XYZ and Sun & Moon are also good. For comedy I like Journeys random stories episodes, my favourite episode of the WHOLE series of EVERY season is the "Ash vs Goh double slowking spicy ramen rap battle" episode, idk why but it's just funny to me how wierd it is. Story wise: I think my favourite is XYZ, I didn't see Sun & Moon enough to judge the story, Journeys didn't really had a story, Black & White team rocket parts where Jessie and James actually looked cool was good but I think I'm just attached to XYZ

Having to live up to the hype and status of xyz is pretty hard considering how we got spoiled we got for that season and how everyone agrees ash got robbed but sun and moon is its own adventure to enjoy which is what made it special

I will say that the show's animation and production did get worse as the series progressed, but the first 43 episodes were the most consistently incredible animation and production values I've ever seen in a long running anime.

This was solely the only Pokemon series I watched.

For me Alola was most fun to watch. XY is a close second place, but i really feel that gen 5 was underrated i really liked that gen.

I have no clue why people didnt like the art style, when i didnt mind it when i did watch it when i was like.. 7 to 9 (i have zero clue when i first watched it)

I think sun and moon is the a good seasons main girl in the normally always leave except for Misty even then she left eventually so makes sense that that would cut her out and I personally do like the animation I like how new and not just a boring anime look they’re always

I like liko and Roy as a duo at first I thought it would be an ash and goh but no! The episodes are shared with both protagonists instead of just of goh has 165 episodes to himself ash get’s like 5 so this is very cool i’m really glad, this duo wasn’t like ash and goh.

I completely agree with you on team rocket. When I watched Journeys, team rocket went back to their stock selves and don't really play a huge role anymore. Like wdym they get pokemon outta machine to fight Ash?? They became the biggest snoze fest when watching journeys. Sun & Moon gave them character development and showed that team rocket wasn't all that bad, heck they went against their own organization in Sun & Moon. I honestly was so sad they had to leave them behind on Alola cause couldn't bring them and it was best for the pokemon. 😭

I watched the entire sun and moon series twice. I dunno why many people don't watch this. It's on my top 3 pokemon anime list

The animation and art style are two different things. The art is the best out of the rest and is more fitting to the region, the quality of the animation is not great pains me to say that but it doesn't really matter cus the style covers it up
